No, I didn't think to mention that.  I'm running 2.6.4, compiled April 7th.  
It is the standard kernel off of the newest SuSE 9.1 discs.  Is that really 
that old?

I will try an upgrade, but I always find it difficult to get the same settings 
back that SuSE provided in their version.

Is there anything else it could be?
