Strong personalities don't always make for tranquillity, but they can
produce a lot of valuable output.

If you have a usb-storage (standard) device, this changes don't effect
you, does it?

When I buy something I look to see what is supported by a manufacturer.
THe one (well two) items I've bought that do have closed-source drivers
are graphics cards (I've bought one each from NVidia and ATI to not favour
one or the other). There doesn't seem to be a good one that has completely
open-source accelerated drivers.
