Here is my situation. (1) If there is no USB jumpdrive exist, I can do "modprobe -r usb-storage" and "modprobe usb-storage" as many times as I can without any problem. (2) If I plug an USB jumpdrive on the system, I do "modprobe -r usb-storage" without problem. When the time I try to re-install device driver with "modprobe usb-storage", the command will hang there and never come back. I looked at the output from "lsmod", it told me the usb-storage is used by one application. But I have not mounted this device at this time. Is there anyone can tell me whether I made any mistake or it is indeed the problem on kernel 2.6.5? Thanks.
