I have still no idea what the problem is but i found an other problem.
different tools use different sources for names.

When hotplug mounts the stick it seems to use the "usb-name", creating
a dir call /media/<*>Prolific<*>. KDE for example guesses a name based
on the "SCSI-name" trying to access /media/<*>EUDAR<*>.

therefor interessting error messages :)
