Hello,

I bought myself a PCI USB2 card (NEC Corporation USB 2.0), it doesn't
work. My Linux kernel is 2.4.27 and I got the same results with 2.4.24.

I saw all over the net that cards with NEC chipset are supported, so it
must be my error but I can't get it to work. :-/ (My motherborad's USB1
works all right, but I need the speed of USB2, that's why I bought the
card.)

Any hints would be much appreciated!

The symptom: if I plug an USB1 device into the PCI card, nothing
happens. If I plug an USB2 device into the card then kernel panic
occurs. I think the card should work with USB1 devices too, so the
problem may lay here.
