There's no way to do exactly what you asked. But if you type (as root)
rmmod ehci-hcd
it should have pretty much the same effect. The disadvantage is that then
Linux won't be able to use your computer's USB-2.0 controller, so all your
USB devices will have to run at USB-1.1 speeds.
