Not that I can think of. It may be that you're seeing some weirdness in Compaq's OHCI hardware. There have been postings about problems with older Compaq machines, and it wouldn't be at all hard to believe that some newer ones have problems as well. If you can get hold of a non-Compaq computer with OHCI it would make a good test case. If it works okay that's a pretty good indication that Compaq's hardware is at fault.
