Hello,
I'm using kernel: 2.6.17. I have a bunch of storage devices (with multiple partitions in each) hooked up to a linux box. The box sees them as separate SCSI devices as expected. I build logical volumes using these partitions to make it appear as 2-3 big storage spaces. I have a requirement in which, I would like to use partitions of only one device/logical volume. Ex: sda, sdb, sdc, sdd ====> big_storage1 But, I wouldn't want to touch the other device. But, all these are exported as SCSI devices. They can be randomly added and removed. So, they may not always begin at sda.. Is there a mechanism to do this? Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
