Hello ! I`m seeking for a solution, to map a file as virtual mass storage device for some time now.
In theory, i think this should be possible - but i searched the net for some long time now and didn`t find any solution, neither windows nor linux. this would be useful for easy exchange of data between vmware virtual machine and host operating system (think of virtual usb stick) or this would be useful for testing purpose. for example, here is another person requesting it in the vmware forum, so i think i`m not alone and this demand isn`t too weird: http://www.vmware.com/community/message.jspa?messageID=521858 does anybody know about an existing solution or is anybody working on this (on linux). it doesn`t matter for me if this exists for linux or windows, but maybe chances being better that it exists or being developed for linux, so that`s why i`m asking here. regards roland k. systems engineer ______________________________________________________________________________ "Ein Herz für Kinder" - Ihre Spende hilft!
