Greetings,

There's a thread I started on the 'linux-usb-devel' list about problems
getting my DeLorme Earthmate LT-20 USB-based GPS receiver working in kernels
2.6.19 (and later):

http://www.mail-archive.com/linux-usb-devel@lists.sourceforge.net/msg52237.html

Mike Isely and I are discussing the proper fix but I wanted to get some input
from other Earthmate USB-based GPS users, in case any are lurking on this
list. :^)

There are 2 variants of the USB-based "Earthmate". The older one (which Mike
has and I don't) probably reports '0100' for the 'ProdID' field in the
'cat /proc/bus/usb/devices' output. This device looks like this, I believe:

   http://www.amazon.com/Earthmate-GPS-Street-Atlas-USA/dp/B00008WMJ9

The newer one (which I have and Mike doesn't) has "LT-20" shown on the face of
the unit and reports '0200' for the 'ProdID' field in the
'cat /proc/bus/usb/devices' output.

Is anyone successfully or unsuccessfully using either of these devices,
especially with recent kernels?

Just trying to broaden the scope of input on our problem solving.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide any input!
