My ASUS P4S8X motherboard recently failed and after replacing it with an MSI PT8, the following errors appear in /var/log/messages when F-Spot running in Gnome on SuSE 10.2 attempts to communicate with my camera:
Kernel: 2.6.18.2-34-default #1 SMP Mon Nov 27 11:46:27 UTC 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux Connect: kernel: usb 5-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2 kernel: usb 5-2: new device found, idVendor=04a9, idProduct=3045 kernel: usb 5-2: new device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0 kernel: usb 5-2: Product: PowerShot S100 kernel: usb 5-2: Manufacturer: Canon Inc. kernel: usb 5-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice F-Spot: kernel: usb 5-2: usbfs: usb_submit_urb returned -22 Disconnect: kernel: usb 5-2: USB disconnect, address 2 All other USB devices (v1 and v2) are working fine - only the camera has stopped working and behaves the same on all ports. I tried toggling the legacy support option in BIOS as well as the NOAPIC boot flag. Any other suggestions?
