The sequence Pam Roberts discovered appears to be a part
of a protocol called "Epson Remote" (?). It is apparently
/not/ part of the ESC/P2 protocol which is documented and
the documentation for which is available from the Epson
suport website. The printer user manual mentions that
the printer speaks the "ESC/P2 and Epson Remote" protocols.
Since ESC/P2 has no functionality for configuring
communications between the printer and host(s), I suspect
that "Epson Remote" is a bunch of extensions for handling
things like communcations setup, printers with network
interfaces, etc., but I have not found /any/ information
on it.
