Dear all,
I'm trying to get USB working because I have a USB audio device. So...
I got the 2.3.99-pre6 patch for 2.2.14 which got the USB up and running. I
have a Xitel Minilink XA29S-1 device which is a DAC for USB Audio ->
stereo jack plug.
I compiled USB support into the kernel, and USB audio as a module.
Now I can cat files to /dev/audio1 (I also have a ISA PnP AWE 64 card) but
I can get any other programs, such as xmms, play (sox) to send data to it.
When the wav file isn't the right bitrate, etc, it doesn't sound right
(too slow). Also the device doesn't show up in /dev/sndstat, or in
/proc/bus/usb (nothing shows up).
You may ask why I'm using this over the AWE64 output, but I got this
little box with a recorder and want to try it out without Windows.
I have an AMD K6-III on a VIA MVP3-based board, RedHat 6.1 (various
patches) with AWE 64 support compiled in as modules.
Any ideas?
Duncan
