I'm planning to implement such an interface somewhere in /proc (probably
/proc/input/devices or something alike) for the USB/Input subsystem. It
will work not only for USB devices but also for other linux input
devices which may or may not be hotpluggable (serial mice, for example,
are).
I'm open to suggestions on how this should work, what data about the
devices should be passed through this interface etc.
