Hi,
I've been trying to find out if its possible to use linux to
communicate with a British Telecom ADSL 'modem' using USB.
Does anyone have information on any projects in this area?
As people may know BT's ADSL trial uses a modem and a router/gateway which
plugs into a network or directly to a NIC. The proposed residential roll out
dispenses with the router/gateway and requires plugging a PC directly to the
modem using USB. BT also appear to require this PC to run Windows 98.
My initial thought is unprintable, the second was "There must be
a way around this using Linux".
Thanks
Mike
