I reply only to remember that I wrote to the list a few days ago, with a
similiar problem: I also have a LG Flatron 795FT (Plus) monitor, with a
hub, that doesn't want to work... At the moment I use USB mouse and
keyboard without passing through the monitor's hub (with the mouse
connnected on a socket situated on the keyboard, connected to the root
hub), but I also would like to find a solution to this problem, in order to
add other USB devices to my system.
My kernel message, with usb-2.3.99-pre6-7-for-2.2.14 applied on 2.2.14
kernel, was the following:
[root@localhost /root]# dmesg
Linux version 2.2.14 ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version 2.95.2
19991024 (
release)) #1 sab apr 29 10:50:13 CEST 2000

that seems rather poor, compared to your one. So, I'll download kernel
2.3.99 and I'll let you know.
Ciao,
Stefano
P.S.: That's funny, for two italians, to communicate in a foreign language,
isn't it?:-)
