Up to 4.14-rc4 etc

When I plug things in, they either work fine as a Highspeed device or
don't work and messages like this appear...

This is when plugging in a SuperSpeed UAS dock...

It could be the cable, i'm just not sure, as far as i'm aware it's
supposed to convert a type c port to type a 

Not a huge deal it's just that one of the cards I have only has 1
type-c port and nothing else.
