gs has proved to be ok. I have viewed some files by running gs
(filename) from a term, then loaded ghostview & found it could read all
but 2 of the examples provided with gs, also other files no trouble. I
also tried the earlier version of kghostview after putting in links to
the 6 or so lib files it complained were missing, but it could not load
most of the example files. Running under the 2.4.3 kernel may be the
problem.
