Three more thoughts, maybe it's trying to do video via framebuffer, maybe it's trying to load a graphic font, maybe it's trying to boot into a graphical logon. Check lilo.conf for signs of framebuffer, init for default runlevel and I wouldn't have a clue where to look for graphic fonts on Redhat. Wayne
