Hurro.. Create an email address just for the mailing list, and put a restriction on your mail server so only the mailinglist server can send to that mailbox. Depends on your mail server of course, as some can't restrict to that level, and you might not have access..
Or.. Get an ISP who uses one or more of the black holes, which will catch 80% of spam that comes from people who pay or steal addreses from harvested web sites, which is where the spam on most lists comes from, harvesting the archives of the list on a web site.. (I use inputs.orbz.org and relays.osirusoft.com ) Or.. Don't partake of lists that publish their archive online. Or.. Create an email address that you only use for the lists, and use your client software to filter everything not from the list server. Or.. Use a procmail or other similar tool to filter the mail pre-client, but be aware you might chuck out the baby with the bathwater, as often is also the case with blackholes. Or.. Resort to using small tactical nuclear weapons on anyone who spams you! Cheers, Chris Hellyar. What are you using (in terms of service/tricks/etc)? I would prefer a solution where I wouldn't have to crank up a web browser. Thanks for suggestions, Volker ###################################################################### The contents of this e-mail message may be privileged and/or confidential.
