I have a short fuse for spammers, and that'll stay that way. Spam = unsolicited automated rubbish delivered to my inbox.
You are resposible for the software you use to annoy people with, I am unsure whether ignorance here is an acceptable excuse. Do you crash your car into peoples' fences on a regular basis and say "oh sorry but I don't reeaally know how to drive this thing"?
