One of the wonderful things about Linux is that you can have more than one network adapter, and still have everything work. It was only fairly recently that I discovered not to put up with relatively cheap, inferior hardware. I realised that a $21 network card from Dick Smiths is worth more to me than spending 8 hours over 3 days trying to make an iffy network card go.
