What's the difference between a car and a house? Both can have people inside them. sendmail transports mail between computers. procmail filters your incoming mail. Other than that both deal with mail they have nothing in common. > is there a way i have have a file call JunkMail that sendmail reads and if a > email address or a domain name is in there it will drop them?? In your case forget about diddling sendmail. Both sendmail and procmail are installed by default by probably any linux distro. Create ~/.procmailrc and your incoming mail will go through procmail. (procmail recipes take a bit of getting used to, but it's well worth it - there is no other mail filtering tool that even comes close) man procmail Volker -- Volker Kuhlmann Please do not CC list postings to me.
