I am using smoothwall myself at home, but hope to wean myself off it
asap. The developer is an asshole, and well known for it. I posted about

Boycott smoothwall. Instead try the the fork from smoothwall called
ipcop (http://www.ipcop.org). At least they are polite and answer
questions!
