Do you mean a LC475? I have never heard of a LC575.

If it is a 475:

First off, upgrading the processor is a definate good thing to do, as
someone else has said you may have problems otherwise, plus if you use a
full blown '040 then you will get a massive speed improvement.

There is a version of Debian that will work on this beast (assuming you
have a suitable CPU or upgrade to a full blown '040).

Onto networking, if it is a LC475 it has a PDS slot, I just happen to
have a number of Ethernet cards for PDS slots, want one? (They are only
coax tho, no RJ45)
