Ooops re-reading your email properly in other replies I missed your problem entirely, but... even after compiling the modules and so forth and messing around for ages I couldn't get it working properly... you've taken on quite a bit for a new guy ;-) compiling a driver that has no manufacturer support and was hacked together!!
