My idea of a chin wag venue is not a pub. I'd much have preferred a decent cafe or restaurant for a meal. Not that I expect everyone to agree with me, just my .02c worth. A venue closer to town would have been better too. Even a get together at someone's house for a BBQ or similar would have suited my taste better. More social than a pub in my opinion. I didn't raise my hand at the CLUG meeting when it was asked who would attend so I don't think my not attending affected anticipated numbers anyway...
