I agree with that completely. My Paradise / TelstraSaturn Cable
connection has been a continual pleasure since I had it installed. The
little service I have needed from the help line has always been polite,
if not always fully informed as they are not trained to be Linux geeks.
The nice thing about the Cable connection is that the traffic shaping
has a sort of time delay in it so you can be downloading a big file such
as a .iso or whatever and be web surfing at the same time. The
responsiveness of the WWW seems to be unaffected by the concurrent ftp
download. That was a very welcome surprise. For a d/l speed of
128kbits/sec you get an International traffic ration of 10Gbytes, i.e. a
cdrom image every other day. Take care though the cost of exceeding the
traffic cap is horrendous. NZ and Eastern Australian traffic is recorded
as if it was 10% of the international volume. Traffic from the Paradise
ftp archive is totally free, as is the dozen or so mp3 music radio stations.

If you can get a TelstraSaturn Cable connection I'd consider it very
seriously indeed.
No, I'm not a {share, stake}holder, just a very satisfied customer.

Sincerely etc.,
Christopher Sawtell.
