I use security = SHARE in the [global] section, and the option guest ok = Yes in each of the share sections. Doesn't matter what user I am on the windows box, it just works fine. The client connects as the guest user (think it might be overridden if I use a valid username though, not sure), the guest user being "nobody" by default, I think. Just a thought.
