The current idea is to have that type of detailed information on the web site.

The website for the fest information is going to be www.linuxnut.co.nz (test.linuxnut.co.nz at the mo) and the 'official' clug site is http://christchurch.lug.net.nz/.

We'll get a big link put on the lug site to the fest site as soon as there is enough content on there to be useful.  Hopefully that will be mid next week, and then we can do the press release late next week.  Give us a month of lead time in terms of publicity.

Advertising..

The press release, BSE I imagine will be good, Public notices in local papers, newsletters around the Uni and polytech.  (I've got a contact at the Polytech IT dept)

All suggestions more than welcome, and offers of free 30 second TV slots even more so :-).

Cheers,  Chris Hellyar.

Looks great.  Do we want to include any recommendations in the press release as to what needs to be done prior to the installfest if people want Linux/a dual boot setup installed on their machine? By the way, what is the official CLUG website nowadays (so I can point interested parties there)??  Is the installfest going to be advertised on the site? What other advertising avenues are going to be employed to spread the word??  Can any on the list help in the advertising efforts in any way?
