That could be useful Steve. Although I'm still to talk to the "powers that be" about getting some off campus bandwidth I think that things like on-campus mirrors are preferable as they don't cost money to anybody.
There is already an on-campus mirror for Redhat.(ftp.phys.canter... thanks to Ryurick) With all that said, however I don't think that we will be wanting to use things like network installs very much for peoples home boxes as network cards are not standard for these. I think that opening up peoples boxes would be a real no-no (as a general rule anyway) However for getting drivers and boxes with network cards etc then we may be able to set something up.
