On campus there is pukeko.cosc (stratum 1) and cantva (startum 2, or 3
if pukeko isn't going). The ntp server on cantva is completely utterly
stuffed/buggered/younameit. It's a version 3 server which, contrary to
any BS which says otherwise, is not compatible with version 4 ntp
clients (I once wasted a lot of time finding this out). I know that the
last version 3 ntpd shipped with Red Hat (about 5.x or so) worked with
cantva. pukeko is fine.

You can reach the waikato truechimer ones, but if you're on campus you
need to have this directIP (or whatever it's called these days) to be
able to connect to it.
