Tuxracer depends on a the 3D capabilties of a systems video card. My last video card was a G200 and I tried everything to make 3D games work well on it with no success. Basically the G200 is an excellent 2D card but a crap 3D card. I upgraded to a cheap NVidia Geforce2 video card, which you can now pick up for around $100 new. Tuxracer runs beautifully on this card.
