It seems to me that the organisation mail is quite small compared with the other 
messages and only 
picks up towards meeting dates so it isn't a problem to me  - especially if the 
subject header reflects 
the topic (as they usually do).

The other factor is that if you discuss the possible topics then it is more likely to 
stimulate interest 
and get more of us along to the meeting!!
