I had a nvidia geforce 2 ddr AGP card, and a 2 Mb S3 trio and 2 Mb S3
Virge DX.
The nvidia uses the nvidia kernel module, and the S3 card uses the VESA
X server.
My screens were configured like this:
+--------+-------+
| |xxxxxxx|
| | |
| 1 | 2 |-- S3 at 1024x768
| |-------|
+--------+
|
Nvidia 1152x864
However, whenever I put the mouse in the area marked xxxxxxx I'd get
video corruption on the second screen, and the xserver would fail with
sig11 within 24 hours.
Google couldn't really help me, I tried three S3 video cards (trio and
virges) It can't possibly be the monitor, and I ran memtest86 overnight
without a fault.
Any comments from the list?
