Thanks Zane. I just felt like I had really been told off for making a slight boo boo, so to speak. This is my first time on any sort of large worthwhile mailing list, so lesson learnt. Tess
Ps. So many rules.......................waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ----- Original Message ----- From: "Zane Gilmore" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, October 09, 2002 12:32 AM Subject: Re: html messages Thanks Tess and many thanks to all of the others on the list that have at times been rude about this. Tess in the past I have seen people absolutely rubbished for that ummm "crime" <pompous-sermon> There are other netiquette rules for everyone to possibly remember. The ones I can remember: -don't post in capitals -don't post attachments to a list post a url instead. -don't post in any format other than plain text (Mike JS don't get picky please about the defn of plain text ;-) -keep posts as short as possible -don't be rude (ie don't flame) -try keep to the list subject -don't criticise people on the list. If you want somebody's behaviour to change always assume it is a mistake and ask them *nicely* off-list. But owing to the anarchistic nature of the CLUG even these "rules" are probably arguable. I think there are good guides around the web on this. </pompous-sermon> Regards, Zane Tess wrote: > Damn shame, I thought they looked prettier :-) ...just joking > So ok point taken...thank you peoples. > >
