If I were you....

If the 18Gb drive is faster / better spec, put it at the
beginning of the chain, I'd use software raid to mirror
the 4.5's and install the system on there, mount /var on
the 18Gb and put swap on the 18Gb as well. You can move
/home to /var/home later if needs be.
