Apparently there was a tornado at Lincoln???

We drove through Springston/Lincoln when it was pelting down there, and didn't see one :-).

About 30 minutes later we were outside in the Botanic Gardens when the second wave came through town. Stood under an information sign awning for about 20 minutes watching.

And for the Linux relevance...

The power went out at home during the storm (semi-rural location, overhead lines...), the UPS signaled the server, and it shut down cleanly.

The moral of the story.... If you're relying on your Linux (or other OS) box(es) for any reason, get a decent UPS, it will save you a great deal of pain one day!
