grunter is the domain controller for the workgroup fisher, and sydog-server is the DC for the workgroup called ocnz. Is it possible that the linux box called robfish is not in the right workgroup, and therefore you are only receiving guest-level access? Why do you have two workgroups at home? a separation of home and work machines? Can't think of anything more :-\ Perhaps its time to try a newer version of samba ? ---- and later ---- Hmmm - a bubble from the brain.... when logging into your win2k machine, what does it authenticate against? its own userlist? or does samba on robfish act as a PDC, providing domain logons too ?
