I'd go with this to. NTFS partitions are read-only under Linux. You could
buy a commercial re-partitioning tool, but this might defet the purpose of
installing Linux (to save money :)

Even if the second hard disk is only used to store everything in the NTFS
partition before copying it back...but I wouldn't want to do that (boot
sectors, etc).
