HiI'm new to the list... and i'm new to New Zealand too... ;)
On behalf of the list, welcome*
I'm sorry to "pollute" the list with this *semi* personal topic, but i thought it was polite to introduce myself and ask for acceptance instead of just coming at the meeting and saying "HI" (besides, I'm of the shy kind).
No apology necessary. You're accepted here.
There are many non-native-english-speakers on the list. I'm sure you'll fit in fine. Actually, the quality of the english in your email surpasses some of the native-english-speaker emails I've seen...PS I'm not a native english speaker... ^^;;
Cheers,
Carl.
*P.S. Nobody takes offence, I trust, to me greeting a newcomer on behalf of the list, though neither I, nor any of us, has any real position where we can speak for the list. Having been on the list for some time now, I'm sure there are be no (reasonable) objections. Why am I really concerned about this at all? Have I got up too early?
