Win98se is pretty stable by itself, so unless you're running junk apps it should be OK in therms of lock-ups. If you're worried about client support problems, install tight-vnc on the client PC's, and use ssh tunnels via the server (which I assume has a net connection if you're remotely admin'ing it) to remote control the clients from home/remote.. Very good admin tool, and doesn't take much setup. Cheers, Chris. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrew J Sands" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CLUG" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, November 30, 2002 10:28 AM Subject: Users attached to server running SAMBA as PDC?? > > How dee... > > Is there a way to tell either/or how many or which users (ie client > machines) are attached to a Linux RedHat server running SAMBA configured as > a PDC with roaming profiles?? > > As I admin this machine remotely most of the time, I've wanted to try the > odd thing but have been concerned about client lock-up (they're Windows98SE > boxes...complete with all associated problems.)
