I just bought a PCI hardware modem from "Scuttle" out at Tuahiwi - it seems to go OK - my authentication problems notwithstanding. It was an excellent price to - in the vicinity of $50

Hi,
I realise this has been covered before on the list I just cant search
the archives at the present point in time.

I am after a modem for a newish machine (no ISA slots) that is a true
hardware modem (ie will work in Linux without frigging around with
linmodem or other binary only kernel drivers)

Can anyone remember in which month this topic last graced the list?
