I would expect a print shop to be able to handle zip disks and CD-R for bigger files.
From my limited experience, if you're going to use CD, go CDR not CDRW. Imagelab had no problems with my CDR, but couldn't read my CDRW on either of the two boxes they tried it on. The disc was burned on a TDK VeloCD and read successfully on three other computers. Hope to save someone a trip back and forth to the printers!

ZIP disks have long been an accepted standard in the print industry, until recently with filesizes getting larger. I need not remind folks not to use ZIP for archival/backup purposes.

I'd love to hear from any other casual or pro digital photographers (off list) and their recommendations for local firms who do decent digital prints for a fair price. I'm pleased with Imagelab, but would like to know of others. I print so infrequently the purchase of a quality printer is not feasible.

Also looking to rent/barter time on a quality film or flatbed scanner.

Thanks,
Matt
