Really interesting :), so the multifunction machine took the frame as an
IP configuration request and dived into the frame for the source IP
addr... I do not know how you selected the bogus MAC addr but I think
it's unlikely that you picked the only one that matched the
multifunction machine, more likely the machine has a nasty
firmware :)
