I have been advised by Actrix that from the 1/1/2003 their charge for

I seems to remember others talking about Cost Effective ISPs with
JetStart...Who were they please
Folk have to realise, and I've said it before; someone, somewhere up the line has to pay.

I'm getting really pissed with Radionet since Compass bought them out, bad support, lousy service... was a 1Mbps burstable connection when I first got it, the cost was $299 + for 1.5GB, minimum bandwidth was 600kbps

Now the guaranteed minimum is only 250kbps and I can't remember when it bursted over 300kbps... Prices unchanged.

Best price I could get that would fit my service requirements was for $1200 + per month, with a total consumption of 6GB. Do the math.

After much trolling it seems to me that a fair recovery cost price is around 10 to 15 cents per Meg, combine national/international.

Most of the third-party ISP's got into Jetstart because they were actually supplying the bandwith from that which they had agreed to purchase, even selling it at a tenth the cost was better than nothing, now if they have to buy extra bandwidth to cover requirements...?

The best I can look at now is a 5GB Jetsream plan through Xtra with a fixed IP and just HOPE that they will agree to advertise routes and import my own /24 - that will still cost me around $720 a month :<

The good days may be a thing of the past...
