I understand the pci modems made by this aussie company have been
telepermitted and will be available soon (if not now).

They have a linux driver by design (not hacked or reverse engineered :-)
There is also a reference to ipcop 1.2 having support for them.

I'm not sure that its open source, but they will compile a version for
your kernel if you send them your kernel include.tgz file, neat huh?
