Hi again,
As usual the booked CLUG meeting date comes knocking at our door and we
don't have any thing organized. It is good to see ideas put forward in list
since my posting (19th July, below) but there isn't any decision made on the
meeting agenda. Because we don't have anyone/some to make any final
decisions!
Personally after seeing CLUG stumble through organizing last years meetings.
I am now all for a formal committee structure!
I feel that CLUG will be a lot stronger, stable and more able to serve its
members with a nominated, voted in group of representatives to act as
decision makers. Especially for meetings and possibly other events such as
install fests.
So:
I MOVE THAT THE CLUG MEETING THIS COMING WEDNESDAY BE A GENERAL MEETING. AND
THAT AT THIS MEETING WE FORM AN EXECUTIVE !
sincerely,
Nick Elder
