Hi there,

Just set up your software sources list either from the command line, or
from the Software Sources Manager on the Mandrake Control Center.

Here's a source to get you started:
ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/8/Mandrake/9.0/contribs/RPMS/synthesis.hdlist2.cz
Didn't work, comes up with 'unable to add medium, will be disabled by default', but upon further investigation I tried...

ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/8/Mandrake/9.0/contrib/RPMS/synthesis.hdlist2.cz

without the 's' in 'contribs'. That seems to start downloading
something, but then sits there like a dumb shit for ages before coming
up with the previous message...

Then as root enter: urpmi mplayer

Downloads and installs all dependancies and everything. Pretty cool I
reckon.
Tried this but without having loaded the hdlist it cannot of course
find anything...

Any clues anyone? Its beyond my cranial capacity now...

Kind regards,

Chris W.
