Um... is it really advisable to use a kernel compiled for another distro? I mean, technically you can do it... but it sounds like a bit of a hack. Aren't you buying more trouble than just letting gentoo do it's own thing? Or is it fairly standard/normal procedure with a gentoo install? (I haven't yet had the pleasure of installing or using gentoo, but I'm interested...) Cheers, Gareth
